Psalms 139

Verses 3 and 13 stand out for me.

n“Thou compassest my path”

nHis Devine presence has walked with me down every road I have traveled. He went before me and he goes behind me.

n “For thou has possessed my reins”

nGod laid the foundation of my very existence. He owns me! He knows me like no other! God knows all my secrets and deepest desires. He knows my sinful nature. It is God who gives me the desire to do his will. He is the one who can change my nature of sin into newness of life…a life in service to him with mind, body, and soul.

What a great way to start this year. Reminding ourselves that God knew every part of us, every decision we would ever make, every mistake we would make, before we were even born and he still loves us completely.

Verses 7-12: There's nowhere we can go that God is not there. We can't get away from Him even if we try. He's always with us and He loves us.

23-24. Search me oh God and know my heart test me and know my anxious thoughts point out anything in me that offends you and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Great start to our reading together. God knows us, loves us, and is always with us.

Verse 1 - he knows me and everything about me. Verse 11&12 He always knows where I am and there’s no place I can go or be that he doesn’t know.
