Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin
(John 14:6). He atoned for our sins on the cross (1 John
2:2; 1 Peter 2:24) and rose again for our justification
(Romans 4:25). Apart from Jesus Christ, there is no
salvation (Acts 4:12). All people are under
condemnation through personal sin—by nature and by
choice (Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23).
We believe that the only way to escape this
condemnation is through the righteousness of Jesus
Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). This righteousness is
imputed (credited) to the believer by grace through
faith in Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9).
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates those who place
their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Titus 3:5).
We also believe that the believer is sealed by the Holy
Spirit and that salvation is eternal (Ephesians 1:13–14).
