PRAYER
We believe every believer has direct access to God
through the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:16; Ephesians
2:18). Through prayer, believers can talk to God
(Philippians 4:6), become more like Jesus, and receive
wisdom from Him (James 1:5). God can use prayer to
comfort us in our suffering (Psalm 34:18), celebrate our
Savior (Psalm 100:2), conquer our sicknesses (James
5:14–16), cleanse our sins (1 John 1:9), and change our
society (1 Timothy 2:1–4).
