Global Missions

Project Fulbe

Project Fulbe is the name of the partnership Mt. Rachel Baptist Church has created with nine Senegalese villages in Senegal West Africa. Fulbe is the name of the people group that comprises these villages. Cattle are the most prized possession of the Fulbe people, many of whom are nomads. There are few Christian believers among the 2.75 million Fulbe in West Africa; most are Muslims. Of the West African people groups, the Fulbe have been one of the most responsive to the gospel, and several have accepted Christ as their Savior.

Mt. Rachel works alongside missionary teams of the International Mission Board and the Mission GoorGoorlu to advance evangelism among the people groups of these nine villages. As a result of Project Fulbe, we have committed to making regular visits to these villages, and we have gotten involved at every level. Even those who do not go in person commit to interceding in prayer for the Fulbe and for the traveling teams.

Mt. Rachel wanted more than just another mission trip. We wanted to be strategic in making an impact for the kingdom of God. We wanted to work where and with whom God had planned for us to work and we wanted to create meaningful and lasting relationships along the way.

Pastor - Winsol Benyong

Mt. Rachel Baptist Church supports Missionary Winsol Benyong, a Filipino Missionary, on a monthly basis.
Our mission to the Philippines involves interaction with the families of the Mountain Province through our connection with Bro. Winsol Benyong and Bible Believing Baptist Church.  We also do projects at the church and in the community to share the love of Jesus.  Many other opportunities will arise as the Lord uses us as his vessels to the churches and people of the Philippines.
